Well we met for coffee and yacked last night. Thought Ken had a good aidea for next friday night, Feb. 3. The new picture with Anthony Hopkins is opening at the Paseo Theater here in Camarillo. So who is up for a night with the guys? We were thinking around 7:00 P.M. or something close according to when it is playing.
Here is the link that Ken posted in case you missed it:

So you coming down for it??
Hey i am going to be up your way the saturday morning, a week from today. Cheryl and I made a deal for a couple of trikes that I have to pickup there. They are old Meter maid units running Honda VT500C frontend and drive systems. Projects but hey should let Cheryl pilot since she can't ride a 2 wheeler after the stroke.

Just got off the phone with the theater and the time for the show is 7:15 and tickets are $8.
The theater is located at the corner of Lantana and Daily Drive in Camarillo, inbetween Las Posas and Carmen offramps.
Hope to see several of you there.

That's funny. I was just looking up their website. :D
The REGENCY PASEO CAMARILLO CINEMAS (http://www.regencymovies.com/movieRunDetail.php?movieRunId=1750&movieId=464&theaterId=3) is at 390 Lantana, Camarillo, CA (http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=moviesp&q=390+Lantana+Camarillo+CA+93010+US+(Regency+Paseo+Camarillo+Cinemas)). (805) 383-2267
Note this is not the big 12-plex that can be seen from the freeway.
As Ray said, it starts at 7:15 p.m. and is $8. Of course if it gets sold out, there's always Brokeback Mountain at 7:30. :D

Interesting, both Google Maps and MapQuest show it at the northern end of Lantana, but I also remember it being closer to the 101. The map link I posted came directly from the movie theater's own website. However, their own directions say it's at Daily & Lantana, which is indeed just north of the 101.
Oh well, I'm just gonna leave early and find it eventually.
As for the alternate movie, I think there's a review or poll about it somewhere around here . . .

The theater i9s in the back corner of the little mall there so it is closer to Paseo than Daily but you can't see it from back there. If you come from Carmen it is the first street after American tire.
Anyone brining spouse or are we having a guys night?

I would meet you guys in Solvang. The museum is small but fun. We could have lunch at the Indian Casino.

The hard part about Solvang will be picking a date that works. My work schedule is kinda random, but we should look ahead and try to sort out some dates.
Has anyone been to this museum before that can give us an idea of the time we'd need to go through the museum?
We should probably start a new thread as well.

I've been there - it's nice and rather informal - you can walk right up to the bikes (and they don't panic w/ kids like the Chandler did)
It really shouldn't take more than 1 hour.

So I stopped by High Octane Powersports in Thousand Oaks today to order some tires. They're within a few buck of the internet prices (after including shipping and mounting), and I thought I'd support a local shop. Good thing I went in, as there was some confusion as to the proper rear BT020 tire which was easily sorted out.
Anyway, I picked up a copy of Free2Wheel for February 2006. In it is an article about Myke Schwartz, the stunt guy who actually rode the bike at Bonneville in The World's Fastest Indian. It was quite interesting, so pick up a copy.

I've never heard of your local rag, so I looked it up and you can read an excerpt of the article here (http://www.free2wheel.com/Current_Free2Wheel/index.html) . Can you send me up a copy? You know I'm good for the $$. ;)

Remember, it's called _Free_2Wheel, found on the counter at local bike shops. The subscription thing is recent. I'll send you a copy, or maybe just deliver it. :)
