"Alec" was the 3-year-old son of my wife's best friend's sister. 8 months ago a rare brain cancer was discovered, and Alec passed on July 22 just before midnight.
Some of you in the Portland, Oregon metro area may have heard about Alec over the past week or so. Alec was a big NASCAR fan, and last week the Make-A-Wish Foundation arranged for Alec to meet Bill Elliot and ride around the track at Portland International Raceway. There were also some articles in The Oregonian.
Please say a prayer for Alec.
