A while back I bought an embroidery outfit for my son. The operations of the machines intrigued me and pretty soon I just had to try my hand at digitizing.

Then I saw a few threads here where people were looking for gifts for their fathers. Due to circumstances I was forced to jump in and help Wiehann with his little factory ... the story is posted here ... http://forum.tripwired.co.za/index.php?topic=559.0 for those that are interested.

But let me come to the point ... this is what I have created and for Christmas I made a jacket and two shirts for me :) ... from dad to dad. :rotf:

The photograph does not do it justice ... I need to figure out how to photograph these things properly

PS Mods ... I will not be upset if you move this thread ;) ... I placed it here merely because it is a LT and it was here where I saw the posts of guys wanting some LT stuff.

Nice work...

My wife has a system which can "digitize" but it's really not very user friendly...

The machine is a Bernina Aurora 440QE.. The fancy software is over $1000..

Yes I coded the digital file in such a way that the body colour can be changed very easily. The boy colour runs one specific needle.

Here is a blue LT.

Thank you all for your kind words ... I appreciate it.

I have had some pm's about the availability of these. Over the weekend I will ask Wiehann to run a few samples of the BADGES that I did. The badges are done on a waterproof woven material so that it can be sewn onto basically anything.

The bikes are available in three sizes.

Width:

120mm , 140mm and 180mm.

I need to figure out a way to photograph these things better ... the sheen on the yarn plays havoc in electronic light and do not do justice to the real thing.

Here are a few more examples ...
