Well I finally found the time to put my new Ohlins on that have been in my garage for 5 weeks. What a simply job to do with the instructions found on this site. In less then 4 hours from start to finish & that includes wiring in a "Smart Tire" head unit. A few things I noticed on my short test ride (104 degrees here today :p )

When I took it off the center stand the front end would drop an inch or more the bounce back up. Now there is little to no bounce

The bike is a little taller but not as much as I thought it would be.

Using the side stand the bike does lean more but iI can get use to that.

I took a few corners that the bike use to bounce threw & be a little "unsteady". Now it is VERY steady and seams to handle much better.

I know it's been said over and over again but Ohlins are amazing

Where'd you get 'em, and what'd they cost? Did you consider Wilbers? Or Hyperpro? I have to do something soon. I'm going through my skip plate, center stand, brake lever and now the fairing is touching. Gonna cost way more to repair than a set of springs.

Get in touch with David or Ruth Anne at Hannigan Trikes, sidecars & trailers. They have new to gently used rear shocks for about $300. They're left over bits when they trike an LT. :)
Much cheaper than would otherwise be the case.
Great folks too !!

Yes cheaper on the first pass. When those wear out, you've got to buy again or buy a new bike. I prefer to go with any shock that is rebuildable, so that means Ohlins, Wilbers, Worx, or HyperPro. And there is a major difference between new Showas, OEM fo BMW, and any of the after markets with Showas being on the short end.

Stevie my boy, you're gonna love the ride.

KYLE RACING (http://www.shop.kyleusa.com/main.sc) is where I bought mine. $1298.00 shipped to my door.
Give Dan Kyle a call & he will set up your shocks to fit your weight , & riding style.

OK finally had a chance to go for a nice ride on the LT. Best part is Sammie was off & went too. :D We only did 'bout 90 miles but I can already tell there is a GREAT improvement in the ride & handling of the big girl. We went on some nice twisty roads that the last time I rode them I could only go 40 to 50 MPH. Today 2 up we hit them at 55 to 70 with ease . I'll hit them again next week & shoot some video for all to enjoy.
