Doesn't it just figure that when you've got the bike loaded up the most is when the battery goes south because you left the lights or GPS on.
Or, is the battery in a location that's a real pain to get to if you need to jump start it.
E-Z JUMP designed a set of 2-piece jumper cables (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/tools_and_maintenance/bike_tools_and_accessories/2-piece_motorcycle_jumper_cables.html)that make it easy to get yours or someone elses bike started without ripping the bike apart.
The kit comes with two pieces, both use 10AWG wire. The first one is an 18" whip that bolts to your battery and uses the same 2-pin connection that other accessories like battery chargers, air compressors, and heated gear use.
The other piece is a 12' section that you store somewhere on your bike (luggage or tool roll). On one end is the mating connector for the whip, the other end has clips that you connect to the battery of the vehicle giving you a jump start.
There ya go, toss a set of these on your bike and you'll never have to take any plastic or your seat off to get your bike going again.
