See 2 photos here! (http://dennel-miscellaneous.blogspot.com/)

On my 2004 RT1150RTP with 18,000 mi on it, there is a red warning light that has an "!" in the middle of a triangle which has come on a few times while riding. When I turn the ignition off and restart the light is off. It comes on with the key momentarily with the other lights then goes out.

I do not have an owner's manual and the Haynes manual has nothing about this. Anyone know what system this light is for?

That is the tail light / brake light warning lamp.
One or the other is burned out.

Your tail light may still work because it is dual filament. Still needs replacing...

Actually I installed an LED rotating tail/flashing brake bulb - so maybe this is why it is triggering this red idiot light? Regardless - I am glad it is only a warning for my tail light & not something more serious!!

Usually when you install LED's they provide a balance resistor to mimic the actual draw of a standard bulb.

Was this part of the kit you installed?
