Original Post:
The brake failure light on my '05 RT comes on/remains on when my front wheel gets wet (rain, washing, etc.). The brakes seem to work normally - but may not antilock. So far, the problem disappears after a dryout and restart. I suspect that water is getting into the innards of the sensor. Any ideas or suggestions?

Update:
I removed the sensor and discovered that half of the front surface of the end cap was missing.

The dealer may have damaged it when replacing the tire (unlikely) or a piece of road debris jammed between the rotor and sensor and ripped the cap (more likely).

I covered the end cap with a coat of waterproof adhesive and the problem appears to be solved.

The cable was in good condition.
