I've read the instruction manual for my 2008 GT several times but am unable to figure out how to adjust the spring load. I can't get out of the damping module. The manual doesn't say how to get it to switch over to the spring load side. I tired it with the bike running in neutral off the stand, on the stand and on the stand with the motor not running. How do I do it?
Also, how do I reset the service date screen?
Thanks,

Hold down the ESA button for a few seconds and it should switch to pre-load where you can then set for 1-up, 1-up w/luggage, or 2-up w/luggage. As far as resetting the service interval, I know it's in your owners manual, I don't have mine handy at the moment but try looking there again.
Hope this helps.

Start the bike, have it in neutral and the sidestand up. Press and hold the ESA button. You'll see a display with a helmet, helmet and bag, or 2 helmets. press the ESA button to cycle through until you get to the setting and let go. sit still for about 10-15 seconds while it finishes the adjustment, designated by the icons going away. Then ride it like you stole it.

Thanks Christopher and David. I guess I didn't hold the ESA button long enough. I just kept cycling through Comfort-Normal-Sport. Just never was able to get it to switch over to the helmets. I try again tomorrow.
Thanks again,

You'll either have to take it to the shop to reset the the service date screen, or do it with a GS-911 that has the newest software.
