What if I already have a SPOT but still need a service plan?
Any deals available on service?

Not that I'm aware of but I'll fire an email off to my rep and see what he says.

Ok, there have been a few questions since I posted the original message about the Free Spot Messenger after rebate (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/gps_navigation/spot_satellite_personal_tracker.html). Sorry for the delay but I was out riding this weekend :ricky

Pricing:
$99.99/year for basic service.
$49.99/year for tracking service.

More Features: Spot Service Pricing (http://www.findmespot.com/en/index.php?cid=1300)

Hardware Purchase:
You must wait until Monday, June 1st to buy your unit to receive the rebate.

Service Purchase:
No, we do not sell the basic service or the tracking service. These have to be purchased directly from SPOT AFTER you receive your unit. You'll need a code on the unit to active the service.

Service Discounts:
No, at this time there are no discounts on service for existing customers.

Hardware Discounts:
Unfortunatly no, if you have a discount code you can't use it on your purchase. The price must be $149.95 or higher in order to get the rebate.

Tracking:
This is a feature that allows you to share your routes with other people. People love to "Ride Along" virtually and it gives friends and family peace of mind.

We've got two samples of the tracking feature.
* Here you can see the Generic SPOT Shared Tracking Page (http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0kc3qt36EPO8MjGRPmI3kO4Fzqm3N6DzF) .
* Here you can see SPOT Tracking integrated into a website (http://www.cyclenutz.com/wheres_waldo_2.html).

Those should answer all of the questions so far. As usual, just let me know if you have any questions. If I don't know the answers I'll find them out for you.

I had a couple questions come in about the SPOT Messenger (http://www.cyclenutz.com/products/gps_navigation/spot_satellite_personal_tracker.html)rebate and it's eligible locations.

Both of these questions were from Singapore which leaves me a bit suspect  but I'll post the answer just in case anyone else is wondering.

Straight off the rebate form: "Offer only valid in the U.S. Not valid in Hawai and Puerto Rico."

Now, I also called in and the CS rep told me it was also valid in Canada and indicated that it must have been an oversight on the form. My suggestion to anyone from Canada would be to get it in writing by emailing Spot directly at customerservice@findmespot.com . That way you have written proof to send in with your rebate form.
