A friend sent me this article, which I found quite interesting. I figured a few of us here could relate. :)

Why, Meese, how Biblical of you! I Thessalonians 4:11 says, "An that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business and to work with your own hands as we commanded you"
Who'da thunk.

I keep telling y'all, it's possible to have a good moral grounding and a strong work ethic without all that religious crap piled on top of it. I don't need dogma or the threat of eternal damnation to do what's right.
I simply do it to be true to myself, not because I've been commanded by some abstract god who claims to be "the avenger in all these things." Thessalonians 4:6
Then again, sometimes the children need to be afraid of the boogeyman so that they can be easier controlled. ;)
