"Carving Canyons in Utah" in RoadRUNNER mag mentions a ride every third weekend in May and last weekend in Sept. Anyone been there done that? I've taken somewhat similar routes roundabout my old homestate on a previous bike (an '02 GS) and would like to do a similar route with LT.

I happened to be in Utah in May (the windy month) and was surprised to see that many motorcycles usually in small groups on the weekend.
When we got near Zion we couldn't find a motel room because even though there were a dozen motels, every room had a Harley parked in front of it, I ended up having to backtrac almost a hundred miles (after dark) just to find a place to sleep. You may want to plan a little further ahead than we did.
