Not sure what forum this belongs in:

"scala rider", $149.00. They claim it fits open and full faced helmets...
They also have an accessory that can upgrade your regular cellphone to bluetooth for $49.00.
If the noise and wind compensation works they may just have a winner. I've got one on order.

Looks cool. We expect a full report once installed and road-tested. Feel free to leave out the part where you add a chrome strip to the outside of the Blue Tooth receiver. :D
Personally, I'm more interested in finding a Blue Tooth transmitter/receiver that will simply do away with the cable from my intercom unit to my helmet. A lot of these devises I'm seeing are great for just a cell phone...or just an iPod. But I (and many of us) need it to do a more than just that. We need it to receive a stereo signal and send a mono signal (from the mic). It probably already exists, I just haven't done the homework. I guess I have many things on my "need list" before turning my helmet into a wireless, state-of-the-art piece of gear. I'm hoping for longer talk times also. Ten hours of battery "talk time" just won't cut it for me. I need double that before they gets my money. But you're richer than I. :)

Joe,
In my quest to ride helmet free I devised an adapter to use my standard cell phone headset with the VOICE II system on my bike. Using that in combination with thier adapter for non-bluetooth phone you could be wireless. Battery life still stinks though. I will see if I can dig up the diagram for the adapter.

I just received mine yesterday ($104 from overstock.com) and I love it. The install couldn't be easier. Though I really don;t intend to do much talking while riding, I certainly could. I use a HJC Symax (full flip up) and tried talking with the chin both up and down and it works fine both ways.
The product appears well-made, and the pop-off unit is easy to charge off the helmet without having to remove the part that actually attaches to the helmet.
Pairing was a simple process uning the "Hands-Free" service.
If anyone has specific questions, let me know.

Kevin, did you get one of the 'BT-I' or 'BT-II' adapters or are you using with a BT enabled phone?
Looking at that for use with my VHF/UHF ham rig on my LT.
