The Great Chicken Rally

Is any one else going to this. I also am going to the MOA rally this year.

I am going with a couple of guys . leaving Wed. afternoon and plan on pulling in Thursday morning.This will be my first chicken rally and my buddies tell me a great time will be had by all.

Leaving NC early Friday. Plan to be there by dinner. First timer and also first timer camping with the bike. Two up with my Bride.

I plan on leaving from work at midnight Wednesday. Should be there around 6 or 7 am Thursday. Considering either loading my trailer up or going very light. Haven't decided yet. I work nights so I may spend a lot of the first day sleeping. Look forward to seeing you guys there. This will be my first chicken rally also. We need to get together and tour the distillery.

I'm going. My wife and I will be in NC camping and riding for the early part of the week and will be heading down Thusday morning.

This is a "fun" rally, but not for the roads. As one of the club members said to us, "The GA Mtn. Rally has those wonderful roads; we have ... chicken."

If you like chicken, you'll love this rally. However, for 2 weeks afterwards, you'll hate chicken. Familiarity breeds contempt.

It is not a bad rally, but as someone said, the riding in that area sucks. Take plenty of showers before you leave home. Last year there were over 600 people there and 4 showers. Did I mention it was hot as hell? I will be leaving Little switzerland, NC around 7 am on thursday if anyone wants to link up for the ride down. Should get there about 3 pm. Not much goes on on thursday. If anyone is passing through my area and need a free place to camp, let me know. mountainman

We are arriving Thursday morning. I will be riding a GSA and my buddies will be on 2 FJR's and a Victory Kingpin. I told them I was the only one of us on a BMW going to a BMW Rally and they said "Why do you think we invited you". Funny guys. See ya there!
