So whats the problem, the only network not to run the 100 day in office speach thingy coming up by our President..instead their running some dumb show I've never heard of.
I don't understand those folks, nothing but vile and fire coming from them since we've had a new prez. I realize they are RR supporters also but still...just one, teensy little comment that is actually grounded in merit rather than religion or whatever it is he is spewing about constantly. Not that I watch much TV but it sure didn't take much watching to figure that one out.
I think ole Bill will only be happy when HE is president (he MIGHT make it..for the micky mouse club that is). What a piece of work. He makes his news show impossible to watch.
Anyways, I'd suggest all who care should put that channel on a participating station, just to make a point if nothing else.
:corn: (figured I might as well make a batch right now:))

Let me guess, you're big fan of that renowned centrist Keith Olberman...
Here's a clue for you...O'Reilly's show....isn't a news show.

No worries for Fox News. There are enough meth heads and conservative christians in trash town USA to keep their hate filled network alive.

Hate from the left isn't as overt, but it's there nonetheless. You managed to attack addicts, Christians, a significant portion of the US, and the #1 cable news channel all in one sentence. Not bad Oisin. Intolerant as hell, but not bad.
See where I'm going with this?

Well honestly, I was a bit shocked I guess. I don't watch TV unless I'm motelin, usually the news. I thought I liked that show when it first came on way back, so I was surprised recently with all the nastism (is that a word?) coming from the show.
I agree, I think they do hate-monger, as of late. right, left, i don't really give a shit about that...how about the human factor? bullshit is bullshit...they sure hand out plenty, on plenty of subjects but primarily it seems of late, the presidency/politics. I'm so glad we have Bill here to be our guiding light
Like I said, its a hard show to watch these dayz....I wish they'd be a little more optimistic about this country instead of spewing...uh...thats it, vile and fire.

O'Reilly and Oberman are nothing but PURE INFOTAINMENT. I watch them both when I need to get a good laugh.
I get my real news from John Stewart.

I have no idea who Olberman is....if he works for Bill, I'll pass anyways.
Well, if it ISN'T A NEWS SHOW (I have to agree with that at this point) then they need to take NEWS out of the friggin title and substitute something more appropriate in there so we all don't get mislead (not an issue once you start listening to these clowns)....

Olbermann has a show on MSNBC in the same time slot as O'Reilly. Spends most of his time spouting half truths, attacking the messenger and ridiculing any viewpoint that is remotely conservative. I actually find it more entertaining than O'Reilly's show. Bill kicks his ass regularly in the ratings, but Keith will twist and deny until he's blue in the face. Kinda comical, really.

Another really negative guy is Lou Dobbs I believe it is. I just can't watch that stuff, it drives me crazy, has no purpose and especially little value.
Maybe its time to change the tint in my glasses  I know things suck sometimes but daym, sun's gonna come up anyway so I like to try and find solutions rather than just whine about them...not that I'm not good at that :histerica

REAL news reporting where the interview subjects do all the talking instead of the host.
You make up your mind instead of being told which Pablum (I am using this metaphorically to refer to something bland, unappetizing, or with little content) to swallow by left and right wing suits concerned only with ratings and ad revenue.
Imagine that!

Morley,
If you are to attach labels such as "hypocrite" then you should also include a few more details that explain the attachment of such.
I was simply stating the demographics of the population I believe watch Fox News. Perhaps I'm wrong and some people actually take this media source seriously. Oh well...to each his/her own...cannot change that.

OK. I'll bite.
Who would you consider to be a "meth head"?
If there is someone who in fact, is a "meth head", does that mean that they are less human than anyone else?
Does that mean that they deserve to be dehumanized?
Would you go so far as to say their opinions don't matter?
That our policies for our society should not take them into consideration?
Why would you consider meth heads and conservative christians should be lumped in together in such a way?
Are you trying to say that someone's belief system is reason enough to marginalize and dehumanize them as well?
And where exactly is "trash town USA "
I'm interested to hear how you explain your hypocrisy and hate speech is justified, while being applied to "those people".

Perhaps if the "News Conference" was a news conference, rather than an orchestrated speech during prime time, FX would have aired it. Funny how every "news conference" has 13 questions and 3-4 minute responses.
There certainly were some homeruns with the President's answers though; softball home runs but, nevertheless, homeruns, as enchanted as they may seem. :D

This is just a ridiculous answer in my opinion.
What you have said is in fact hate speech. You are marginalising a population based on their faith, I for one, would like to see you do the same thing in reference to Muslims. It is no different than if your comments were anti-Semetical. I wonder why it's always the Christians who are singled out with these types of attacks?
When you say that it's your personal opinion, that is obvious and not a justification or explanation. It's certainly not an excuse to practice racism, by saying it's "purely my personal opinion", is it?

I get my recaps of the absurd, talking-heads, news shows from The Daily Show.
Watching a Presidential News Conference, watching members of The Press Core ask questions is akin to having to watch an Amber Alert on a TV show that I recorded a week ago.
Recently, I discovered a Zombie movie on the SciFi channel that had a porn star in it! What could be better than watching Zombies and shots of topless women!? Unfortunately, while the Zombies were crystal clear, the topless women were not in focus.
Now if the Presidential speeches, press conferences, and talking heads from Congress would follow that concept, we'd have a reason to watch. It would be the perfect paring--fake boobs with great fake boobs.
