My friend Rob and I decided to take a little spin today out here on the left coast. I needed to do a test run of the GS after the final drive seal replacement (got to make sure it's all happy for Deb and Dean for Cambria in 3 weeks!), so 300 miles of twisty backroads through canyons, mountains and the coast seemed like a fitting shakedown route. For those who know the area, we took Uvas Canyon to Gilroy, then out to Hollister, Cienega Rd to 25, blasted the canyons on 25 then cut over to King City. From there we went out Jolon Rd. to Fort Hunter Liggett, then up and over Nacamiento-Fergusen Rd to the Coast Highway. Went up the coast to Big Sur and grabbed lunch at the Big Sur River Inn (awesome food!), then continued up the coast to Monterey, Castroville, then more twisties through Elkhorn Slough, over Hecker pass, then back through Uvas Canyon to home. Sies were clear, temps between 70-85 all day, clean roads and lots of fun! Here's a link to a few pics I took along the way.

For sure and nice pics as usual!

My 12-year-old daughter rode w/ me to Ojai for some Texas BBQ, then to Malibu for some ice cream. Coastal temps were between 75 - 85 but it was over 100 in Ojai.

We had a great time - round trip about 150 miles - she's a great little pillion!
