I've been looking for a good minimum-slab route from the Detroit area to the CCR. So far, it's looking like US12 out to the west side of the state and get on I-94 to get through Chicago. Once there, I-290 to the end and get back to US12. Follow US12 to Tomah WI, cross the river and drop down to RT16 ( a scenic route ) and take that west to I-90. Then I was thinking of going north to US14 which would take us to Wall SD. I know US12 can be scenic, but I don't know about US14. Anybody have any other suggestions? :confused:
