As he has shown, he is ignorant of foreign affairs.

Dunno.
Unlike watching Futbol Mexicano, which is more interesting not knowing what the commentators are saying, watching a news broadcast in Spanish is more boring than watching it in English.

Comin up next, more coverage of the G20 identical to what everyone else has been saying for two days with more footage that everyone has been watching since yesterday followed by entirely new pictures of Cherry trees in bloom in DC (You'll have to trust us that we aren't running footage from prior years of the same trees blooming).

Coming up at 10 O'clock, expert analysis of the wx you lived through today followed by someone giving you the exact same information that is on the top left of your internet browser which also indicates tomorrow will be identical to today except that it might be one degree lower.

Best from Tucson

Proof? Links?
The American president bows to no foreign potentate...except this one it seems.

Proof?Proof? Have you been sleeping the last 8 years?

President Bush, 2001: "This Crusade, this war on terrorism, is going to take awhile." Thus turning a national tragedy perpetrated by a minor militant group into an unending worldwide religious war.

President Obama, 2009: "The United States is not, and will never be, at war with Islam." Meanwhile, he is strengthening our political and military efforts in Afghanistan and Pakistan thus showing that we will continue to pursue those who attack us, without instantly alienating one-fifth of the world's population.

At least this one started in the Crapper . . .

Q - You are the Pres of the US. You have the option of bowing to the richest powers that 'could' fund terrorism at a whim OR you could wage war in 2 other countries 'cos you are too chicken to wage war on the Saudis.
Which do you think will cost less and be more effective?

Add to this, his speech in Turkey and he has made some VERY significant moves that could very well stop this madness from escalating.

Christians do NOT want a war on faith. They will loose in every way except words, And Shakespear may have written some drivel - but his point about the pen was a truism.

If something is worth fighting for, it is worth doing it with words. When you resort to violence, you just prove you think you were going to loose the argument anyway.

You think that's why he bowed? To somehow gain favor? OMFG!

What he did is considered a sign of weakness to Muslims, and he did it for the whole freakin' world to see. Muslims ONLY bow to their God.

The word "crusade" may have been a poor choice but I believe it was meant that we would persue them with the fervor that the crusades were fought.
Bush never said we were at war with Islam so "o"'s little speech is moot.
What "o" did by bowing before a Muslim king is the mother of all fook ups.
I'll say it again. The president of the United States does not bow to foreign potentates...except this jackass. What a clown.

Obama is your president. We are at war. 9/11 changed everything. To call into question the commander in chief is unpatriotic. Why do you hate this country?

You sound like someone who wants to see America fail. Why do you hate America?

BOY! If THAT ain't the pot calling the kettle black...Hmm, did you miss the [irony] tags? ;)

It's just the same old tripe that we've been handed for the past 8 years, mirrored back to those who used to think it was a valid and logical argument. Then again, those were the same folks whose entire answer to the Middle East problems was to "Nuke the desert into a f@#$%^g piece of glass." Yeah, that'll work . . .

But seriously....

Without comment on his policies, the POTUS should at the very least understand there is a protocol office to help him not fuck up things like greeting and giving gifts to other heads of state. Maybe this is all part of fulfilling his campaign promise to change the way the rest of the world views the U.S. ...

He'll figure it out; he's a smart boy.

I think he did it on purpose - and if he has to get on his knees to put right what Bush did - he should do it.

Do you think that disabling our torture teams might be a step in the right direction?

Too rich. Sorry, your "opinion" carries no weight with me, being a non-citizen.Funny, I'm a bonified citizen, but apparently my "opinion" carries little weight with you as well. Go figure. ;)

The irony is that the point these "non-citizens" keep making is that how the rest of the world views us is important. That doesn't mean that we have to bow down to everyone else's whims or demands, but that we have to be aware that we are playing on a world-wide stage. The last guy never did figure that out, hence the earlier "arrogant and ignorant" comment.

Yes and no. Sure, we can feel better about ourselves and say "We're America, we don't torture". But somehow, I don't think the people that mean to do us harm, and the societies that harbor and demonstrate tacit approval for their barbaric ways, give two shits about how we feel about ourselves.

You can;t have it both ways though. You ether believe in freedom from oppression or you torture. Anything else just gives a mixed message, breeds mistrust and hands ammo to the recruiters.

Ok, give me two definitions of torture...yours and from the mindset of our enemy.

I kinda like that.... Does anyone remember back in '81 when some terrorists in Italy kidnapped an American general?Anyone know the story of just HOW we got him back? I do, and it involved torture and killing, not on our part but on the part of the people that got him back.

Sometimes the ends DO justify the means. That's exactly what They said when They hijacked those planes. Do you think They felt any less justified about Their actions than you sound here?

More appropriately to suck ass for what Bush DID NOT do!

Actually, I'm STILL waiting for the torture teams to START doing their job--finally!

Not is the slightest. Fear is all that matters.
