I've made post after post and George is the only one who has come close. I don't even see any KLT's on the roads around here. The only beemer guys I've gotten to ride with are the CHP!

Is anyone going to the SDBMW Open House this weekend?

C'mon guys... lets blow the dust off of those machines.

Sorry for the lack of support. I do commute on mine EVERY day, I just don't get out for much recreational riding on the weekends. I'd like to check out the open house if I get free this weekend. Kid's are in too many sports, scouts and other stuff.

It's not that we are ignoring you :o Really.

Did you ever check out the BMW Owners Club of San Diego?
http://www.bmwocsd.org/

There were usually 20-40 bikes every Sunday Morning at Giovanni's restaurant for breakfast when I was in the club.

There were some darn good riders in the group. When I was a member, there were about 4 LT owners in the group, but the last time I was there was about 4 years ago.

Normally I'd jump in and offer to join you but there's a fair distance between us. I do make periodic runs in your area such as Julian a few times a year. I'll let you know the next time my day rides are in your area. Perhaps we can meet up. Dave's suggestion to check out the local clubs is your best bet. That's how I met most of the guys I ride with. Another good way to meet riders is to participate in one of the local tech days you see posted here.

Heh Jeff, last time I saw one of your posts you lived in Pontiac! When did you move to CA? Man, that's a climate change, in more ways than one. :D

No. It would be very un-Californian of us to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Instead, we're required to stay inside air-conditioned buildings, drive cars without opening the windows, and whine about any temperature that isn't 70°F.

We're headed to Buttonwillow this weekend to watch a friend race, but otherwise are normally out riding every weekend.

Hey there... I moved out here in November. I took a buy-out from Delphi, packed up the KLT and headed west! Great trip!

I just couldn't take walking past the beemer in the garage for months without riding it.

Hope things are going well.
