Guys, I am seriously looking to purchase a 2006 LT. I am reading and hearing a lot about final drive failure...should I stay away from this model? I have a couple of older airheads and have no problem and don't want to get involved with costly issues....Help!

If you're worrying about it don't buy it. Some have problems, some don't.

It is not something I would worry about as it seems to effect somewhere between 1-4 %. These figures are antidotial.

I own a 2002 and plan to buy another as soon as the right 08 or 09 appears.

Buy it... I'll ride it for you so you don't have to worry about it..

See if you can arrange to purchase through a dealer and get the extended warranty if you must... I did... great peace of mind.

I would go for 07 and newer. I hear that 07 and newer LT have lifetime warranty on rear drive (which needs to be verified).

Buy it and the extennded (Pinnacle) warranty before the three year runs out and RIDE, RIDE, RIDE!!
