Hopefully day rides during the CCR 2006 will be recommended/planned for us "out-of-towners"? If so, may I suggest, and if it's not too much to ask, these plans/recommendations to be put in garmin files?

Maybe a CCR 2006 Garmin Thread?

TIA

I hope this snowballs .... Thanks! The best part is that my wife, Sylvia, is as excited as I am in planning and attending our first CCR and she seldom rides. I am planning on riding there from the Bay Area and pick her up (she'll be flying ) in Nashville , TN on the way to the CCR. Will do reverse on the way back.

cool, I'm not sure if I can attend yet due to (hopefully) buying a house and all our other plans for this year, but I can at least get some roads to ya'll that want them, I only live about a hour north from there, I know this area pretty darn good now.

Hey Tom!

Like yourself, I consider Dahlonega to be on the southern end of the northeast GA mountains - and Chateau Elan is south of Dahlonega by about 38 miles. So we gots about 38 miles of riding before we gets to the GOOD riding. NBD.

BUT: do you have any way for us to get from Chateau Elan to Dahlonega without riding thru Gainesville? A few extra miles are acceptable in order to avoid Gainesville city traffic. Thanks.
