WHY RIDERS FIGHT MS
Having multiple sclerosis means that you may be unable to swing your leg over the saddle, and head off on that Sunday morning Ride. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. The symptoms of MS are different, and devastating, for everyone - the only certainty is that it will affect yet another person every hour of every day.

We all love the freedom to roll on the throttle. To lean into that curve with just the right touch. To pull off on a lookout and soak in the hills and valleys. To happily recall the fun-filled group rides and meals we've shared together. MS takes that away from a Rider, and we're ready to fight back!

WHY WE RIDE
Westchester Beemers, as part of the motorcyling community, has teamed up with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Southern NY Chapter, to create "Ride MS". We want to encourage our motorcycling brothers and sisters to do something for the people who have been diagnosed - and because we want to do everything to prevent more people from learning what it means to live with this disease. Today, there is no cure for multiple sclerosis, and with a diagnosis occurring most frequently between the ages of 20 and 50, many individuals face a lifetime filled with unpredictability.

Westchester Beemers has personal connections to relatives diagnosed with MS. A mother in one instance, and a spouse in the other. It's likely that many other motorcyclists have similar stories to share. Our goal is to connect with each other, and together help NMSS find the cure.

WHY YOU SHOULD SPONSOR A MOTORCYCLE RIDER
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will use funds collected from Walk MS and Ride MS to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also to provide programs which address the needs of people living with MS today. Because we choose to Ride for those who no longer can, because we choose to donate to Walk MS and Ride MS, we are getting closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, "Yeah, I used to ride, but I have MS."
