Hi all,
Some of you might be aware that I’m running the Iron Butt Association’s National Parks Tour this year. I’m also supporting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation this year as well, by participating in the Northern California Ride-4-Kids this coming October. I’m asking everyone to support me in my ride by supporting the PBTF through my Firstgiving.com site. I know the economy is tough right now for many, but anything you can donate, and pledge is appreciated.
More details about what I am referring to can be found on my web site:
http://www.tlash.net (http://www.tlash.net/) follow the link to “Roadtrip 2009”. Feel free to follow along on my blog for the trip.
To make a contribution, see my donation site: http://www.firstgiving.com/tlash
Thanks everybody!

I'm in for $50, or $1 per park, whichever is higher. Very jealous, wish I could go with you.

Ok, Redwood is already done, and I got Yosemite today. I made a quick run up to the Tioga Pass entrance from 395 -- less traffic than going thru the whole park in mid-summer from the west side. They had a stamp right there at the toll booth. Easy score! Next up, Petrified Forest.
Clarification question: In your first post you have "Big Basin". Do you mean Great Basin, or Big Bend, or...?

Oops - There all fixed, it should have been Great Basin and I forgot Glen Canyon from earlier in the year. Just got Redwood this last weekend.

10-4, I thought as much. Great Basin, Capital Reef, and Glen Canyon were probably from your Red River ride. I would have been impressed if Cathy went with you from Crescent City to Arizona in one weekend.
First thing tomorrow should be Petrified Forest. I have all the others all ready. Cap Reef and Glen Canyon I may or may not get. They aren't on the way to anywhere else I need to go to finish the NPT. But we'll see.

Out enjoying your retirement again huh? :D
We'll be visiting another grouping of Parks, etc. around CCR time, some should match up with yours for extra donations. IF it between here and Rapid City it's on our list to visit.

I took Dell's LT out for a little putt, and bagged the Bar U Ranch National Historic site in Alberta. That now makes 33 states/provinces, 63 sites.

Okay John, one from your to-do list for your CCR ride. This will probably be the last one for me. To tell you the truth, I'm getting a bit tired.

Hello all,
Earlier this year I began my Iron Butt Association National Parks Tour Gold. I solicited donations for the upcoming (October 4th) Ride-4-Kids in northern California, which befits the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Many folks gave lump sums up front — thank-you!
But a few folks agreed to make a per park pledge based on the number of park sites I obtained prior to the Ride-4-Kids. I finished my last major ride for the tour a few days ago; the total stands at 65 park unit sites.
There are two ways to send in your per park pledge:
1) Go to my Firstgiving site and use your credit card. It is a secure and convenient way to make your donation. See: http://www.firstgiving.com/tlash
2) A personal check made out to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, not to me. You may then mail it to me. Email PM directly for my address.
Even if you can donate, please feel free to checkout my web blog of my tour:

Thanks!
