Even with the NFL Officiating crew doing everything they could to give this to the Colts. The Football Gods have spoken, and PITTSBURGH will face Denver for their shot at the Super Bowl.
I think the NFL Officiating crew, headed by Moronelli (note the "moron" in his name), must have got a call from all those NFL vendors and the networks who had already called this year's Super Bowl for the Colts back in week 13. I can't believe they reversed that interception call.

BTW, this (http://www.intriguing.com/mp/_sounds/hg/runaway.wav) is what Peyton Manning kept hearing in his head when #67 came through the line during the 4th quarter:

I totally disagree with your OPINION of the call reversal. Had your boy stayed on the ground and covered up, Pittsburgh would have taken possession of the ball. But the fact that he tried to get up (without his left knee leaving the ground, therefore he was still down), the ball came OUT. Therefore, according to the rules of the NFL, he did not maintain/control possession of the ball...thus, it was NOT a catch. I was the only one to call it like that before the ref made the announcement. (That's the beauty of having a DVR.)
And what about the blown interference call against the Stillers. Yea...you know the one! http://www.bigbikeworld.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif
As for the game, in general, the Colts deserved to lose. The rust was just too thick...and the 'real' Colts showed up too late.
As for next week . . . it's about time that the Stillers fans get to know the pain us Browns' fans went through in the 80s. When the Broncos dashed our hopes of going to the SB. The Stillers are going DOWN next weekend...mark my words. And The Bus fumbling the ball on the 2 was just a leetle preview of the beginning of the end! (Can you say Ernest Byner? I thought you could...)

I can't believe that I agree with Joe!!?? ;)
He is completely correct. Them's the rules.
The replay confirms that the correct call was made. I HATE pittsburg but....the refs were right-on.
Of more interest to me is WHY, after the turnover on Bettis's fumble, Manning decided to risk the season on the passing plays as opposed to moving the ball forward enough to achieve a higher percentage field goal attempt and send the game into overtime??? Granted, that 46 yarder should have been made but a 36 yarder may have been easier. Bad decision on Peyton's part.

Third & 2, and he "goes for it all", instead of a new set of downs. Bad, bad, bad! Of course...if the catch is made and the Colts win...he would've looked like a genius. Oh, the beauty of being a first-string all-American arm-chair quarterback! ;)

Alas. Too much changed in 5 weeks for the mighty Colts. Got too rusty. Too complacent. :(

Joe, you are wrong about the call and reversal. Even the NFL even says Morenlli was wrong. Polamalu had demonstrated possession and made a "football move" before knocking the ball out.
Now, do you think the NFL will fine Joey Porter or not? If you missed it, here's what he said:
"I don't even know what to say, because I don't know if the league will fine me for saying we got cheated out there today," Porter said. "But on that play right there, that man caught the ball, got on the ground, was getting back up, and knocked the ball out with his knee. "I mean, I know they wanted Indy to win this game. The whole world loves Peyton Manning. But come on man, don't take the game away from us. That play right there, they tried to take the game away from us."

Yes, I think Joey Porter will get fined...and should. And as for me being "wrong", um...no. I'm not even sure if that's possible anymore. :D
