ABS II Failure

Who has had their ABS unit have a repeating failure of piston ? Thats the code that was flashed. The bike is an '01 with about 43K miles and I think thats a little soon for failure. The dealer reset the thing and 150 miles later it faulted again. I going to ask BMW what they think about replacing it before I open it up. At $1500 for the unit, it's worth a try to fix it.

At $1,500 I would certainly check it over closely before going the money. I have heard of a few having some problems. Hopefully someone can give you some pointers. Mine hasn't given me any problems so I can't help.

Well Dealer replaced 2 for me. I expect it to last. There is some info on the old site about fixing it.. good luck..
