I have done the CC procedure and all light turned on and off as they should but I still have a problem. Sometimes when I use CC it will just shut off then it will not turn back on for a while. If I pull the fuse it will sometimes come on but not always. My throttle cable turn easy and everything else seams ok. Any ideas on what to check next? The switch behind the right front foot plate is that brake light or the micro switch for cruise ?

I have the same problem, usually if I shutoff the bike and start it again it will work for awhile, but not always. I also checked everything and so did the dealer. Sorry I am no help :(

Look up how to adjust the throttle cable microswitch. If you've replaced the throttle cables (is sounds like it) adjust this switch as far toward the center of the bike as possible. This may solve your problem.

The switch behind the footplate does both the brake light acuation and disengages the cruise control.

The throttle cables are the factory ones. I've never changed them. I did mess with the foot brake switch when I lowered the pegs so that might be my problem. I'll check it later, tooooo cold in garage to do it now . ;)

BTW Bo your NEVER any help :histerica

BTW2 it was great to see y'all on Saturday. :wave

If you are going to dig down to the throttle micro switch... to test.
Just skip the test and disconnect it.

That was one of my issues.
I understand what the switch is for, but in the scheme of all the useless sensors on the LT. This is one that you can safely do without.

Steve, mine does the same thing, but when it's cold outside. Anything below 65* and I have no cruise. If I push DOWN on the clutch lever and set the CC, it will work but I have to keep pressing down on the clutch lever. I am going to clean and adjust the micro switch at my next service and am hoping that is the problem.

I road tested the bike last night and with CC on I have to move front bake about a 1/4 inch to cut off CC but.... on the clutch I just touched it and CC was off. Didn't even pull it in at all. So I guess I'll be one with "MY" Microswitch also. :D

Well Grif was right AGAIN :p
I adjusted the switch by pushing it tight against the clutch leaver and it works great. :bike:
