I rode About 3hrs & the temp is still at -40. I found two posts that said it will reset eventually. Anybody know how long it takes. It was disconnected for about two weeks if that matters.

Check and lube your connections. It should have reset by now. Make sure you don't have a bent pin, or broken wire by testing the continuity of the wire. If it's all back together, than it is a PITA. I would just start at the sensor under the headlight.....

I unhooked the sensor & reinstalled it a lunch today. And 3hrs later it read just fine.
