shock rebuild?

I have removed the Wilbers from LT. Instead of shipping off to an authorized service center, can they be rebuilt by my local suspension shop?
Are the seals brand specific or generic, so that a local dealer with a suspension shop can get it done?

I just ordered a set of Wilburs for my 05 LT. How many miles did you get on yours before needing to rebuild?

I put them on at 36K. I am at 103K. I could and probably should have rebuilt earlier, but they are still not as bad as the stock ones were at 36K.

Thats for the info, I have 42K on mine, but should have replaced the stocks at least 5K ago. I am looking forward to the new ride.
