A lot of you guys have asked for more details and pix of my trailer project - and I just found them buried on my hard drive:

Only two years late! ;) It got loaded backasswards so if you start with picture #17 and go to #1 it will make more sense.

I've got over 5K on the trailer and have no complaints, I would do it again in a heartbeat instead of spending $$$ on a factory build.

Just tow it!

Hey Ron,
Do you have any issues not using a swivel coupler ? I have basically the same setup except I bought a used trailer and haven't towed it yet... Just wondering.

Thanks

John

Hi John:

I have never really considered a swivel coupler. The only thing I have ever heard about them is that they "flop" over in use. Not a big deal, but my general game in anything mechanical is "less is best!"

With the LT resting on it's "wings" the coupler would not be of any use - there is plenty of pivot in a standard coupler to accomodate the angle without twisting the the tongue.

Don't ask me how I know! ;)
