I bought a 1200GT last week on ebay that was located in MO. Since my daughter lives in STL, I figured I'd fly out and visit her and pick up the bike on the weekend. Well, that plan went south, and I ended up on a quick trip to STL early in the week, figuring Dean could come out on the weekend and make the bike deal. The seller then said he couldn't do the weekend and wanted to finalize the deal right away. Long story short (I know, too late for that now!) I was in STL with no gear and needed to ride the bike about 100 miles to my daughters' place. I contacted the MOA and the president, Ray Zimmerman offered to lend me all of his gear. I've never met the man, but luckily I fit into his stuff and he saved the day! Just wanted everyone to know that our MOA is a great bunch of people, and Ray Zimmerman is awesome. Thanks!

Year, color, how fast have you had it and does it lean more than your old one? Does it have ESA and any other toys?
Good onya, Deb!

Is this like a new reason to hang onto old helmets etc? I need something to sustain misc get-rid-of-it arguments with my wife......... :D

Its an 04 - I can't seem to get away from them - piedmont red and gorgeous. I've behaved myself so far but Jessie did hit 120 on it. Kids! And yes, one should always keep all that stuff lying around because you just never know when some idiot will leave their gear at home!

it's more than I expected, but I don't think there will ever be a day that I find the bike you mentioned! :) it's in such good condition, like new, that I hate to be the one to get it all pitted and dirty. The red is a great color, I wish BMW would put more "color" in all their colors, if you know what I mean, instead of gray, dark gray and medium gray. Then there's light gray too, and gray green. Not to mention the blue with gray undertones, and the silver gray. Quite a broad palette there!

I was blue, red and yellow ones at the shop today. They were scattered in among the flat black GSs. :)
