Rev-3 test fit concluded today. Minor adjustments required. Next step is development of integrated brace support that will tie brackets together, under fender to facilitate stronger laterial support and strengthen mount area, which is surrounded by plastic !

final test fit ?

due to christmas holiday trip, i was not able to do what I hope is the final test fit before i left. and due to lack of an available bike at my dealer, which makes the effort even harder. i have had no owner volunteers in my area to help out ? i cannot send unproven fitment kits out to someone out of town during this phase of the development. hopefully, i will be able to complete this final ? test fit this weekend, if my dealer has bikes available ? this has proven to be a more complicated task, due to the inherient flexibility of the front fender assy mount on the 650 & 800's, as I had to also develop a special piece to increase the strength of the bracket installation, which also provides laterial reinforcement in the attachment area of the front fender. it will be right when completed. another reason it has taken so long is almost a full week goes by after each change to the design is implemented, due to my 'full-time' job. i only get to work these projects on weekends, and the shop usually takes 3-5 days to work my changes into their laser machine time.. yes, these kits will be laser-cut....

test fits for 650GS concluded today. still need bike to verify fitment for 800GS... if I cannot get a volunteer from the Dallas area, I will have to wait for another 1-2 weeks for the next 800 that is coming into my local dealer, which I will have the opportunity to work with. this will delay start of production until after that test fit is concluded.

appologize to everyone that has been patient with the wait. Due to the popularity of the 800 model, they have come in and gone out (pre-sold), in almost same day, which has prevented me from securing any time for a test fit within the last 30 days or so..

I have repeatedly asked for an owner/volunteer from my area (Dallas), and have not received any offers of help to permit me to do a 15-20minute test fit to finalize the fitment for the 800 model. I completed work on the 650's several weeks ago, but cannot move forward until the 800 model is verified.

I have a full time job during the week, which pretty much prohibits me from doing anything related to these projects from Monday thru Friday-noon each week.

I believe what I am going to do, if I cannot verify the 800 within the next week, or so, is to move forward with a F650GS ONLY kit and put-off the 800 model kit until a later date, so I can move on to something else..

I have prototypes for the 800S/ST waiting in the wings, which I should have been working on by now...

Volunteer for test fit could not make it this weekend.. Looks like the test fit will have to wait until this coming weekend. My local dealer has an 800 scheduled to arrive by end of week... :(
