I have an '03 LT and want to connect a relay to run accessories (GPS, CB, MPS, XM). I hooked up a Radio Shack relay to the rear seat heater wire and everything worked fine in the garage!! On the road the power to the relay is intermittent so my accessories are always being reset. I can't duplicate the problem in the garage.
Need help in diagnosing the problem.

Sounds like a loose connection, either with your power source or ground going into the relay. Turn everything on and then start wiggling the various wires attached to your relay. If you used solderless connectors check the crimps. I've had bad connections in there before.

Do the accessories turn on and off when you hit a bump? If you do not have a loose wire try re-orientating the relay by 90 degrees at a time. What relay did you buy from RS?

Could also be a defective relay. I had a RS 30A relay (they don't sell them anymore) that had intermittent contacts. Most annoying!
