I want to have enough spare parts at home so the wife can overnight them to me if needed on my trips. I have a rear wheel with a new tire so far. I would like to have a front wheel with tire, rotors, abs ring & a FD unit ready to ship if needed.

What I need to know is what year bikes are the same as mine and how do you tell the difference between a lighter RS front wheel and a LT front wheel

I have bought and returned 2 front wheel assembles. One from a 2001 LT every thing fit & worked but the hub was worn out (clearance instead of press fit on bearings). The other was supposed to be from a 2002 but had to be from 1999 or earlier. ABS ring , rotors & wheel wrong. Offset for rotors not even close.

If I were you I would only go for spare FD. 2003 or 2004 model year FD units should fit fine. 2002 year model FDs had one of the highest Failure rates.
