I'm determined to be able to integrate my iPod/XM receiver and GPS into my Autocom system on my new GT. the problem I have is that whenever I power any of these devices from the battery of the bike I get interference from the alternator/electrical system. I know this is a common issue and the usual solutions are typically re-routing the wires so they don't go near the engine and prayer. I've prayed plenty and need to try something else. Since the battery is right underneath the handlebars, I couldn't have a cleaner shot at my handlebar-mounted devices, so ideas of re-routing the wiring are unecessary.

What do other folks do to avoid the noise?

TIA,
Curt

I normally use a Mix it ignition noise suppressor, they take the alternator whine and filter it out, taking it to the frame of the bike. If you would like to discuss this call me 918-446-2245. Kieth Tulsa, OK

Thank you all for your suggestions! I remember using these filters back in the '60s on my parent's cars when I'd put in an aftermarket radio. I think I like Keith's suggestion about the Mix-it, since it solves a couple of problems for me. I've met the owner of the company and discussed the product and it seems the way to go.

What about a web site for this "Mix-it"?
