Well I finally gave in.
I saw Chuck Schumer on the Charlie Rose show. According to Chucky ("the Washington Examiner has found a suspected list of the top pork-getters in the Senate: Schumer (323), Murray (310) and Clinton (301) are the three senators whose names appear most"), the nation's problems are due to the current President. There is a Democratic wave repudiating Regan's concept of government creating problems. This Democratic wave is going back to FDR's concept of BIG government saving the American people.
So I joined the Democratic wave and voted for Obama--I wrote his name in for County treasurer since there was a Republican running un-opposed.
Its another beautiful day, So, I'm going to take a nice 30 minute ride to the voting place, about a half a mile from here.
My pottery class is tonight so I've set up my DVR to record the Daily election show coverage.
I've got a bottle of no alcohol sparkling wine chilling in the fridge. I'll celebrate no more junk political phone calls; no more coverage of what pollsters and political mavens prognosticate.
If nothing else, the cult figures that emerge, what the political gangs do, and the billions of earmarks they will waste will be interesting to watch.
How long till CCR09?
