What's up guys? I hope everyone had a great New Year's. I am looking forward to getting my seat back from Bill Mayer Saddles so I can do some riding, now that the weather is so nice. Anyway, who's going to the upcoming show?

Let's see a show of wheels (hands)?

Hector,

Thanks for the reply. I won't be making it since I already have plans, but like to know what is available as I want to get to one of these this winter/spring.

Unbelievably, the NJ Motorcycle Spectacular in Somerset is also being held on Jan. 21 & 22. I guess someone didn't check for competition.

We will also be there for the noon opening. I now buy tickets on line ( print out on home printer) so we only have to get in the line for those with printed tickets. The normal (cash only) ticket line can be an hour or more long. The coat check is also useful if you have heavy coats for a bitter cold day. It will be Metro North from NH for us with a cross town bus from Grand Central to the Javits Center.
I suggest folks meet on odd hours 1,3,5 etc at the BMW display. If you don't own a CCR hat a post it with BMWLT.com on your coat might help us seek you out!! See ya.

We are going down Friday, my wife took Friday off from work. My brother and his girlfriend will be joining us. We are probably leaving HVN around 11AM. So maybe we can catch up with anybody that is going on Friday at the BMW Display on the odd hours as Barnett had suggested. Hope to see some you there.

I was at the Washington show last weekend. I talked to the Aussie guy who runs the Belstaff stand. He advised that Orange County Choppers are taking a stand for the NY show (they weren't at Washington) and when they happened "last time" (I assume last year), there was tremendous crowding and very long queues. BTW, I strongly recommend the Knox backprotectors he sells, they are very comfortable.

I would advise getting the online tickets. Even in Washington on a cold Sunday, 12 noon was no line at the ticket office, 1.30 was long queues.

Highlights for me:
K12200GT
R1200S and a chat with Nate Kern
The Guzzis were especially nice this year

The OCC guys were there two years ago. Their area was in the back of the Center. The line wrapped all the around the Center. This was a 10 am!

Nice looking bikes, but I don't stand inline for anyhthing longer than 10-15 minutes.

I'll pass! The more people on line for them, the better chance I have at looking for farkles in the booths!
