Wow, looking at the list really brings to the front just how in the minority those of us who are coming without a significant other really are.

Partially this is just statistical error ;-)
For instance my "siginificant other" is not Mr. Jouko Saarinen, who rides his own Light Yellow LT. I announced him as my guest and obviously the listing principle just assumes the guests as spouses...

I think you may be reading too much into the "&" there, Ari. Just because two attendees are listed as X & Y doesn't imply that they're spousal. Think of all the cases where no one would assume such a relationship:

Abbott & Costello
Bugs Bunny & Daffy Duck
Peanut Butter & Jelly

I was just trying to console Al who seemed to a bit a bit depressed of the majority of the "two-up" participants. Actually I tried to make the same remark as you that not all participants marked with "&" ride two-up. Of course assuming them as "spouses" was a bit overkill...

I might also be me lacking all the finenesses of the English language...

I find it interesting that (currently) 11% of the bikes are not BMWs. And another 8%, although being a Beemer, are not LTs. It doesn't "surprise" me, mind you. I just find it "interesting". Most likely, I will be on my Ninja . . . or whatever sportbike I'm riding at that time.

I just saw that there were a lot of couples, and I know my wife would love the place. But because she is a high school teacher, and our county goes back for the year starting early August, she can't make it. Actually that is why I'm leaving Saturday instead of staying for the races at Road Atlanta. If she could make it I would stay until Monday.

But because she is a high school teacher, and our county goes back for the year starting early August...I'm kinda in the same boat. My wife is a councelor for the local middle and high school, so I go to CCR alone. She doesn't seem to mind getting rid of me a couple times a year. :D
