I have a fuel leak at the disconnect. This was supposedly done as a recall on a 12K service. I think it is just the "o" ring on the pressure line. My question is about the other line that comes from the tank when I disconnected it fuel was pouring out. Is this normal or should this have been blocked off by a check valve when the line was disconnected? I have the line pinched off right now. Thanks for your help in advance.

When you disconnect the line with a QD the fuel should NOT flow. If it does then you know there is an issue with the QD (and it is definitely NOT the o-ring since you are disconnected) or a cut in the line.

Another possibility is that one of the QDs was mounted backward, most likely the one letting fuel flow when disconnected.

After posting this I went back out to look at the disconnects again and found that one is broken. I guess that I will be replacing both with metal ones as soon as I can find out where to get them. Thanks for your reply.

Beemer Bone Yard has them. Just did the install recently. Good people to deal with. Quick delivery.

If you search this site for "quick Disconnects" you will get a ton of info on them. Here is just a sample:

(I went with the Smallparts.com ones myself also!)

Should be plenty of pickings in those threads!
