Hi Guys:
I've got the BMW Navigator that came with my '03 (I think Navigator I) but want to upgrade to 2720 or 2730 (don't need bluetooth ala 2820). I understand the power connectors are different than what I have (presently the round connector is wired in). Is the wiring the same for the new connector? If that's the case I would replace the connector without having to re-run the new power connector.
Thanks for any information.

I suppose replacing the connector from your current cable wouldn't be that hard. Somewhere, I have the pinouts for the 27xx's power connector. I would question, however, why you feel it's so difficult just to replace the whole power cable and be done with it? Where/How is your current GPS mounted?

I have the BMW cradle and purchased the 2720 which uses the same "flat" connector for power. The other conector is only for Navigator GPS's that works the left side buttons, these buttons will not work with the 2720 and you will not need them.
Hope this helps...

Thanks, Joe. Present GPS was dealer installed (it's an LTE and I understand dealers mount the accessories to make it an LTE), so it's mounted on plate and the wires are routed under the tupperware. It looks easier to replace the connector than remove the plastic to get at wherever the connector hooks to the power supply. The pinout diagram would be helpful...maybe I can find it on the Garmin site.

Thanks, Mugz. My connector is round though. Not sure we're talking the same connector.
