Computer (BC) stays on last setting - 2002 K1200LT

Wondering if anyone has had this happen or do I have a problem? After shutting off the bike and then re-starting, computer would previously default to the temperature. Now it occasionally stays on the last setting; i.e., MILES TO GO or AVERAGE MPH, etc.

Not a problem or big deal, just curious.....

My 2003 will always default to the current temperature and when changed to MPG, it will show last trip MPG untill it is reset.

Interesting one Dano! Mine is always on Temp when I first start up. Be interesting to hear what causes yours to do this. I'll bet it is something real simple!

07 usually comes up temp, but now about 1/2 the time is whereever I left it.

03 and 05 came up on temp. It may be that the rest of us are being reminded that the season is tightening up while your bike just wants to go for a ride. We did have a gorgeous 80 degree day in NW OH today. I hope that it remains a non-issue for you.

I haven't thought of leaving the BC set on something other than Temp. I'll try it tomorrow and let you know.

YEP ! That's what it is doing...... Maybe just starting to show it's age. I was looking at an 05 the other day on ebay and maybe it was just jealous...

Still rides better than when new!

Checked this morning on my way to church and sure enough, it was on MPG which is where I left it yesterday. ?????
