I have the EZ pass mounted to the left winglet on my LT. It reads it everytime. The issue I have is that the system overcharges me. It doesn't do it everytime, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to why it does it.

I called EZ pass last month when I got my online statement, they siad that I needed to get my transponder checked, and they would look over the records of the past few months an credit our account, which they did.

I got my statement this month, and the same thing is happening. Yesterday I went to one of the "service centers" to have the transponder checked. There they told me the reason I get overcharged is that sometimes motorcycle tires bounce as you go through the toll, so it charges you for more axles. The "fix" is to call them once a month or so and have them credit the accoun!!

THe normal charge for the tolls I go through everyday is 53 cents, I have been charged as much as $2.15 for this toll. The amount varies.

Anyone else have this problem? If you haven't checked your account, you may want to.

No problems in NY. Actually, I saved the tow truck driver some scatch when the system read my EZ pass on the way to the Dealer after I broke down. The attendant simply waved us though. I got ding'd for the toll at motorcycle rate.

FWIW, I've had it on two different bikes for the past seven years. No issues. I would ask for a new tag.

Also, my wheels never bounce through a toll booth. The ez pass sensors from NY to VA are over head so bouncy wheels have no effect.

Same here. Looked at my statement after reading your post and have never been overcharged.
