Second dumb question. I had the bike up on its center stand today in neutral. I started it to let it start to warm up and noticed that the rear wheel started rotating at about 4-5 rpm. It stopped easily with my hand and started again when I removed my hand.
Is this normal? K1200LT newbie.

Oups, Yes gear oil drag on gear / shafts.

(Pilot bearing drag if in gear with clutch pulled in)

Bike is totally worn out... donate it to me for spare parts...

Just kidding...

That's normal. As the "input" shaft is turned by the engine, it spins oil in the gearbox. That oil movement will cause the wheel to turn...

"no problem"... !!!!!!!!!!

yes, it needs to warm up to stop spinning.

Thanks! There are a lot of unknowns for me on this new machine. Thanks for the quick answers and all the help.

I really wasn't planning on donating her quite so soon though. :wave
