This was an all day ride in Southeastern Oklahoma. My husband and I were heading to Talimena Drive. I took this shot with my Nikon D80.

Nice shot, Nicole. When y'all get to the Talimena, tell Terry to keep the LT upright!!! Y'all are really blessed to ride that beautiful piece of asphalt. Some great pull outs for scenery shots, plus a pretty good buffet at the Queen's Lodge when it's feedin' time!! :thumb:
Thanks for sharing the picture. We'll be lookin' for some more neat pics from eastern OK and northern AR/southern MO. Y'all ride safe.

Beautiful. Only thing that would make it better is a few tight turns. But a very nice view. Thanks for sharing it.

Hey, Greg - I'm not entirely sure, butt I think that the stretch of road that Nicole shot is 'on the way' to the Talimena Drive. That Talimina Trail is definitely twisty and winding and up and down and running along the mountain ridges. Gawd, I got git back there one of these days!!! :)

Hey Dick, our ride that day was wonderful and an ADVENTURE . Yes, plenty of twists up Talimena Drive! However, out of nowhere it started raining, the temperature dropped to about 54 degrees, and there was intense fog. I had to zip my camera into my jacket to protect it from the rain. By the time we made up to Queen's Lodge we were famished…thank God for the buffet. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day before that. We’ll go back in 2 weeks – I should get some great shots with the leaves turning.
Here’s another shot before our adventure up Talimena Drive. This was shot at Phillips 66…
