My 2005 K1200LT has the original Bridgestone tires with 6,800 miles. The back tire is great but I inspected my front tire today and noticed quarter sized bubbles coming out just left of center on the tread, all around the tread.
I checked the pressure and it was at 36 psi. I have ordered a pair of Metzelers to be mounted this saturday. Does anyone know what causes these bubbles?

6800 miles on the front with a BT020 is not bad at all. I hardly get 6k miles on them, and about 10k on the rear tire.
The pressure most use on this forum is 42 psi/front and 48psi/rear, although your riding style, load, and road conditions will may cause you to change this a bit.

Under inflation of a tire can cause excessive heat. That could be the cause of the "Bubbling"

Sounds like seperation of the tread from the cord. Had that happen on my RT....Metzler took it back and replaced it........for free. Take pictures before doing this though.
