I'm about to order the Givi 52 top box and am wondering about the lighting. I can get the 'stop kit' for $54 which comes from Givi or the AdMore lighting for $129. Does anyone have experience with these? What is the difference? What do you recommend?

I've got the Maxia as well with the Givi lighting .. if I was buying now I'd buy LED lights .. I don't own an RT yet so the Givi is on my Vstrom. I'm contemplating an RT for next year. Please post what you decide.

Go with the AdMore or Hyperlites. They are brighter, last longer, and use less power.

Second that on the AdMores. Brighter, less power, turn signals - all really good. I have the Givi lights on a 46l and they are pretty sad....

For my opinion, go for the admorelighting.com LED kit (including turn signals). On the E52 Maxia, it includes not only LEDs for the "normal" light area on either side of the center latch, but also adds an extension all around the side lens on either side. The whole thing lights up at 50% brightness for running lights. Goes to 100% brightness for brakes. If signalling, it flashes one side at 100% and the other is on solid 100%. Really nice lighting and pretty easy to install too. Somewhere I saw a movie of the above in action, but if you can't find it let me know and I will take pics. I really like the E52, the only thing I regret is not getting the polished solver top, as it gets pretty hot in there with the stock flat black lid when it's hot.

Thanks everyone for the helpful input. I have ordered the admorelighting as recommended. Thanks.
By the way, I used twistedthrottle.com for the order and found them extremely helpful. A guy by the name of Matt said he would be very willing to help with advise over the phone if needed during installation. Very friendly and obviously a rider as well.

I have to jump in and second the good word about the people at Twisted Throttle. They have always been most helpful. Recentlly I purchased a V46 Givi top box, that already had the wiring on/in it. I wrote Twisted Throttle about how to connect it to the bike, and I got an immediate response from them, and a link to the proper connection. Good folks.

I agree. They are only a short ride away from me as well.
