I know, I know, it's a done deal, game over, and with all of Obama hideous traits I realize that it's a 99.9% chance that he'll lose. But what if, what if that .1% comes true and he wins . What would you do? Upgrade the barbed wire to razor? Bring those semi automatics down to the local gunsmith and have them converted to automatics? Start studying the Koran? What will you do?

Won't like it, but my life probably won't change much. There are enough checks and balances to the system to keep the pendulum swinging. It won't stop on either side for too long.

I'll just keep on going like always and try to get behind him as much as I hope the dems will if McCain wins. Wishful thinking perhaps...

Pray that he doesn't fuck things up as bad as Carter or Bush II.

Since the President does not actually run the country and make policy by himself, I'll probably continue to go to work and make ends meet, no matter who wins.
Hopefully, I will.........

No, but assuming the Congressional polls are correct, and both the House and Senate remain under Democratic control, they'd have a rubber stamp in the White House.

I honestly think the country functions better with one party controlling congress and the other controlling the White House.

Let's see...I'll move to another country- which one?? I forgot-we live in (currently) the best place on the planet for individual success & freedom.
I guess I'll stay here and hope the marxists don't really ruin the U.S.A.

As a decendant from senator Knute Nelson of Minnesota (democrat) I'll write him a letter and ask him for an exception for that two years citicenship requirement to work as a North Dakota Highway LEO for one year so I can give you guys a ticket when riding your LT a bit to fast. :rulez:

Politics have just become too freaking untrustworthy. After listening to both choices for the past 6 months, I think that they should just stop talking and just stand there for the cameras. We can then elect the person whom we like the looks of best. Unfortunately for Barack, Macain has a much prettier running mate. I guess that would be an unfair advantage. This may be a brainstorm!!! To answer the question: nothing differant.....

Seriously, I've been a public servant my whole life. I'm sure you don't think my time serving this country in the military protecting your ass so you can do whatever it is you do was sleeping, or maybe you do- you have that right... Of course, now I'm a civilian servant, and I let the young troops "sleep" so you and I can be safe. Oh yeah, almost forgot the cute little smiley. ;)

Live my life, just like every other day of the week. It's not like the guy is going to open a wormhole to the 7th level of hell and send us there. He's going to try and run the country and will make some good decisions and some bad ones. Not unlike John McCain would or anyone who has ever or will ever hold that office.

Laugh, smile, jump up and down. Sleep well at night. Watch 70+ percent of posters here and the staff of Fox News pout. Yeah.. then wake up the next day and pray the majority of his choices are wiser than the majority of the ones the "decider" made during the last administration. :)

Well the Socialist card just got taken off the table by President Paulson when he presented the Bush administration a choice between a depression the likes of which we have never seen before.. and a 1,000,000,000,000 bailout.... We chose the government takes over.... Welcome to socialism... American style....this isn't partisan politics my friends.. this is serious s!@T... we're financially screwed...
you know...there is a saying...
Insanity is doing the same thing.. over and over again.. each time expecting a different result.
Whether or not Obama is the right pick is anyone's guess.
Am I willing to give the new guy a go? You bet!
This November, nobody wins. What we have to hope for is that the next President has what it takes to grapple in the reins of our out of control economy and bring those wild horses back in line so we can focus on what it is that matters most to us.. preserving our Union, our Liberty, and passing on to our kids a rich and hope filled future.
Putting a 70+ year old (whose better days were years ago) in there to fight that battle... I don't buy it that he has what it takes to drive the washington machine in the direction it needs to go.. he's TOO FAMILIAR with the LEGACY machine and has a hard enough time staying up to date with today's trivial news fodder let alone anything substantive.

We did this in the 1980s. Anybody remember the Resolution Trust Company buying up all the failed Savings & Loans then reselling them to commercial Banks. That is where Citi, JPMorgan, B of A and others got their massive network of branches from, courtesy of the lax policies of the Regan Administration. It was CDs then, not so much Mortgages, but eerily familiar, other than being an order of magnatude smaller than the current fiasco.
