And the great thing is that when one of those babies pulls out of port, the San Diego traffic situation immediately improves! :D :D
I watched a TV show about that carrier, impressive indeed! It will need refueling only ONCE in it's expected 50 year life!! My engineering brain still chokes on imagining that kind of power for that long from two softball sized chunks of fuel! Could run an LT for it's lifetime on a pin head chunk if they could get a reactor that small. :D :D

Cool pic!! Thanks for posting...
The fact about the reactor only needing refueled once in 50 years is incredible....

Thanks Billy. One of the accounts I support is the one that built the Reagan. I got to see her being built during several trips up to the boat yard. I was up there the weekend before the christening and then again the weekend after dry dock was flooded and she was moved to a water berth for final fitting. Folks, that's one big ship.

Great Pic. I spent 3 years on the USS Nimitz. They get small after a while, but it is nice to take a walk on the 4.5 acres of flight deck!

Great shot off the bow. Used to see these 'birdfarms' with a fantail view. All I can say is "Simply Beautiful".
