My throttle was very sticky and often got stuck, so I bought a new throttle cable because I figured it was broken. When I took the cover off by the throttle and pulled on the cable with my hand, I was surprised to see that it wasn't the cable that was causing the stiffness, but where it attached to the throttle. I just put some grease on it and viola, it's super smooth now!
