a different Windshield makes. I bought a used BMW euro-cut shield and installed it on the LT. It replaced a Cee Bailey shield (? size) that was several inches taller and wider than this shield.
I have been so isolated from the wind on this bike that it was heavenly to get some nice wind abuse this morning. Also, it is so nice to be able to have it low to easily see over in city situations.
Oh yah, I almost forgot, no more back pressure on my head now either. Hooray!!

I have a similar report to make, after removing the +3"+2" Cee Bailey windshield and replacing it with the stock BMW windshield on my '04 R1150RT. With it down, I get clean, non-turbulent air on and around my helmet, and the feeling of fresh air that I had associate with riding motorcycles for the past (oh my, don't tell 'em how many years!) ah.....never mind.
I can still raise the stock shield enough to avoid the air flow if I want to. Makes me think that the Beemer engineers are pretty sharp, and that aftermarket isn't always an improvement.

I have a CB #2 at -4" and love it, look over it and get nice smooth air. My Euro cut that the bike came with was the pits, all kinds of noise and buffeting. The nice thing is that when it fogged up my dealer gave me a new one and I put it in the CB packing so that when i sell the bike (maybe never) I can put a new screen back on.

Greetings peoples
I'm delighted to hear you're all happy with your "euro" cut screens. The Euro cut is the standard and only screen available on Aussie delivered LT's.
It's funny how you say you're all enjoying the breeze a little more, I wish I had an extra 5cm, about 2 inches, on the top of my screen, just so when it's down I can still see over it, but when fully up, I can just duck down beneath it a little.
Cheers and kindest regards to all

Paul spoil your self, and get a Vstream I have one, for exactly the same reasons you would like one. its a beauty and you can now get them in Australia, I can see over it just, but when its up I look straight through it no ducking and the wife loves it as well, no buffeting at all when fully up

Fitment is the key. I got my LT with the Euro shield, previous rider loved it, I hated it. He's 5'8" I'm 6'3" I got a Cee Bailey's #2 -2. With it all the way down, I get a face full of air, With it half up I get a quiet pocket of air. Minor adjustments based on 2 up or wind activity, prevents back pressure. Use the fitting guidelines if you are ordering one. If you get one you can barely see over when it's all the way down, you're gonna be real unhappy with the purchase.
IMHO, you need a shield you can easily see over the top of when it's half way up. That gives you maximum adjustibility. Euro, tall or aftermarket, get what fits you & your riding style. Same with seats. Those are the two biggest satisfiers or dissatisfiers for rider comfort.
