Has anyone tried raising the passenger footpegs? 'Er indoors is only a tad over 5ft 2" and complains of discomfort after an hour. Being short legged, I wonder if a slightly higher foot position may benefit her. She complains mainly that the rear seat is too wide, which would be helped by not needing to put her feet down so far to the pegs. At least that's my assumption, but not being a girlie, have no idea I'm told. :-)

Yes, there is. Ilium Works (http://www.iliumworks.com/Page.cfm) makes them. They also make pillion floor boards.

I had the BMW adjustable passenger floorboards on mine. Very well made and look really nice. My wife liked them . . . as well as both kids. They adjust quickly and easily without the use of any tools. They come in chrome, or painted a silver-ish colour.

IMHO, I think the Ilium works stuff is pretty ugly; albeit functional and less expensive. Just my two cents...

Simon I may be wrong but I do not think these are adjustable and that was the problem his SO was having with the stock pegs

You are correct Steve, he'd still need the Ilium Works risers to meet the short inseam problem.

My wife is only 5 foot and I put on the BMW adjustable footplates. She loves them. Easier for her to mount up also. She gets so comfortable back there she puts down the armrests and dozes.

The DOD passenger floorboards can be raised 2-4 inches.

Or lowered, Darius tells me. My fiancee complains that the pegs are too close to her, so I'm saving my pennies for a set from him with a slight drop.

We got the peg adjusters from Bob's BMW (you may have to call, as sometimes they are not in the catalog). W is 4'10" and they were imperative! We tried the BMW boards and they cut into my ankles :-(

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have looked at the suggested options but can't believe the prices being asked. The most useful item would be the adjustable risers, but how on earth can $168 be justified? I know metal has gone silly but there are limits.

I have got some ideas about designing and fabricating something myself. The idea is a ratchet slot that can be altered by hooking a foot underneath. They could be milled from a solid aluminium billet.

If I ever get round to a protoype, I will post some details.

Apart from that, I may just experiment with blocks to see what height is needed and then make a fixed bracket.

I built adjustable pegs for my Moto Guzzi. Had to pay $100 for the stainless steel posts and $120 for the Kuryaken offset pegs.

For the BMW I bought used Ilium adjustable brackets and it worked out better and cheaper.
