2008 LT Parts for a 2001 LT

I', looking at some parts from a triked 2008 LT for my 2001 LT. Does anyone know:

- would a 2008 rear shock fit?
- would a 2008 Final Drive fit?
- would a 2008 rear wheel/tire fit?

Also, would a set of BMW shock absorbers (from a 2003) with 24K on them (bike was re-fitted with Ohlin shocks) still have some life in them to replace mine (which dealer says are no good).

The rear shock and the rear wheel will fit.
I am not 100% sure about the final drive.

Correct. Pre-02 final drive has a hole for the speedo sensor. Later drives do not. You need a final drive that has the hole.

The later year final drive will work in an emergency, but you wouldn't want it as your permanent drive. No speedo, no cruise control either I think.
